SBU raids Ukrainian Armor over RPG-75M grenade launcher procurement contract; deputy director assaulted
On July 9, 2026, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted searches at the homes of Ukrainian Armor employees, including First Deputy Director Maksym Polyvianyi, who was allegedly beaten during the raid and hospitalized with a concussion and numerous injuries. The criminal proceedings concern a UAH 637 million ($15.9M) contract with the Defense Procurement Agency for supply of 6,000 RPG-75M disposable anti-tank grenade launchers.
SBU alleged the grenades were manufactured in the 1980s rather than 2024 as contracted. The company denied wrongdoing, stated the grenades were supplied directly from Czech manufacturer Zeveta in sealed packaging, and claimed the case was fabricated as intimidation. The SBU denied using physical force. The company is preparing lawsuits.
