Kawasaki Heavy Industries x Sysmex — Medicaroid JV
Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sysmex jointly established Medicaroid in 2013 in Kobe, Japan to develop robotic-assisted surgery systems. Kawasaki contributes industrial robotics expertise; Sysmex contributes diagnostic instruments and medical device expertise. The JV produced the hinotori Surgical Robot System, Japan's first domestic surgical robot.
