California-based space infrastructure startup developing the [DROID](/models/turion-droid) spacecraft for space domain awareness, non-Earth imaging, and in-orbit operations. Founded in 2021 by veterans of SpaceX, Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, and Boeing Phantom Works, Turion has launched two satellites (DROID.001 and DROID.002) delivering over 40,000 orbital images and secured 28+ U.S. government contracts with NASA, U.S. Space Force, NRO, and SDA. The company's Starfire™ operating system provides mission planning, autonomous tasking, and constellation command and control for national security and commercial customers.
