Partnership

Hokuyo x Lumotive (3D LiDAR)

Hokuyo Automatic partnered with Lumotive to develop and commercialize 3D LiDAR sensors using Lumotive's Light Control Metasurface (LCM) solid-state beam steering technology for industrial automation. The partnership resulted in the 2024 commercial release of the YLM-10LX sensor, the world's first 3D LiDAR sensor with true solid-state beam steering, and was deepened when Hokuyo invested in Lumotive's 5M Series B round in February 2025.
