OTTO Motors (now OTTO by [Rockwell Automation](/companies/rockwell-automation)) develops autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for heavy-payload material handling in factories and warehouses. A division of [Clearpath Robotics](/companies/clearpath-robotics) founded in 2009 by University of Waterloo mechatronics graduates, OTTO Motors launched its first AMR — the [OTTO 1500](/models/otto-motors-otto-1500) — in 2015 and has since deployed some of the largest AMR fleets in North America, including an 83-robot installation for a Fortune 500 CPG manufacturer. Rockwell Automation acquired Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors in October 2023 for approximately $609 million.
