Overview

OTTO Motors (now OTTO by Rockwell Automation) develops autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for heavy-payload material handling in factories and warehouses. A division of Clearpath Robotics founded in 2009 by University of Waterloo mechatronics graduates, OTTO Motors launched its first AMR — the OTTO 1500 — in 2015 and has since deployed some of the largest AMR fleets in North America, including an 83-robot installation for a Fortune 500 CPG manufacturer. Rockwell Automation acquired Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors in October 2023 for approximately $609 million.
