Partnership
Ford Motor Company x Apple
On Jul 23 2026 Apple announced that Apple Maps will be integrated directly into Ford's upcoming Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) Platform through Apple's MapKit for Automotive SDK, coming to Ford's UEV Platform in 2027. Road-level Maps information is also intended to help Ford's Latitude AI team build hands-free driving experiences, including next-generation BlueCruise on-ramp-to-off-ramp capability.
Quotes include Eddy Cue (Apple) and Jim Farley (Ford CEO), who also said Ford's new midsize EV would be priced around $30,000. CarPlay remains available on Ford vehicles. This records the Maps/SDK integration announcement, not a shipped UEV production status (Apple).
