KNDS x Nexter (MGCS Joint Venture)
Krauss-Maffei Wegmann joined with French state-owned Nexter Systems to form KMW+Nexter Defense Systems (KNDS) a holding company half owned by KMW private owners and half by the French state. The alliance consolidated European land defense systems industry and formed the basis for the MGCS main battle tank project.
