MakerBot x Stratasys (Merger)
Stratasys acquired MakerBot in a stock-for-stock transaction valued at approximately 403 million dollars initially with earn-outs up to 604 million. MakerBot operated as a separate subsidiary of Stratasys preserving its brand and desktop 3D printing product line until the later merger with Ultimaker formed UltiMaker.
