Josie Braga

Co-founder of Braga Fresh (originally Braga Farms) in 1928 alongside her husband Sebastian Braga, starting a family farming operation in Soledad, California, in the Salinas Valley. The couple purchased the Home Ranch in 1937. The company grew over three generations into a vertically integrated grower, processor, and shipper of organic and conventional fresh vegetables; the Josie's Organics brand, launched in 2013, is named after her. Braga Fresh remains family-run, led by grandson Rod Braga as CEO.
