Venanzio Cichella
Venanzio Cichella is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Iowa and director of the Cooperative Autonomous Systems (CAS) Lab. The CAS Lab focuses on controlling multiple autonomous vehicles in real time, equipped with a state-of-the-art motion capture system providing sub-millimeter accuracy GPS data.
The lab contains quadrotor UAVs and ground robots for researching autonomous system planning and control algorithms. He received the 2024 MechSE Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
