Deployment

Monumental Bricklaying System at Almere

Monumental's bricklaying system uses multiple compact robots working in tandem, small enough to fit through standard doorways, to autonomously lay bricks on construction sites with minimal human supervision.

Monumental says its bricklaying robots laid every brick of a house in Almere, the Netherlands, including a curved wall, different brick types and bonds, and recessed lettering in the brickwork.

Co-founder and CEO Salar al Khafaji said on 28 October that 15 more houses would follow in the coming weeks. Monumental works as a subcontractor: the builder pays for a finished wall and Monumental supplies the robots and the people who operate them.
