Where do robots charge?

Do US cities map where robots stage and charge?

Mostly no. Robots stage and charge wherever a city happens to have parking and EV infrastructure, but almost no US city publishes the dataset a fleet actually needs. Of the corridors DEPLOY tracks, San Francisco is the only city with a machine-readable off-street parking inventory: 1,406 locations from SFMTA, verified.

Los Angeles publishes 57 city-owned lots from LADOT, also verified. Austin's off-street parking dataset exists but is not machine-queryable, and every other tracked corridor publishes nothing on off-street parking at all. And not one city, anywhere, publishes which of those lots or structures has a usable ground-floor electrical outlet. That is the single most under-served data point in robot infrastructure.

Cities publishing a parking-with-ground-floor-outlet dataset: 0

Zero of the tracked corridors publish the one dataset a robot fleet needs: which parking structures have a usable ground-floor electrical outlet. Every corridor record notes this field as not published. It is the single most under-served data point in robot infrastructure.

Why the outlet field is the one that matters

A delivery robot does not need to know where every EV charger in a metro is. It needs to know which nearby off-street lot has an outlet at ground level it can reach, overnight, without a human. That is a specific, boring, operational fact, and no US city publishes it. The parking inventories that do exist (San Francisco, Los Angeles) stop exactly one field short of the one a fleet would pay for.

Networks: ChargePoint, EVgo, Shell Recharge. SF also has curbside EV charging pilot (EVgo curbside chargers). Parking-garage-outlet staging gap: UNDOCUMENTED -- no public dataset of parking garages with confirmed ground-floor electrical outlets for robot staging/charging.
