On July [XXX], 2026, at 2:33 p.m. ET, the May Mobility autonomous vehicle (AV) was facing west on [XXX] at a red light, preparing for a right turn onto northbound [XXX] in Atlanta, GA. The Autonomous Vehicle Operator (AVO) disengaged autonomy during the right turn and assumed manual operation of the AV.

Twenty-eight seconds after the disengagement, the manually operated AV, which had queued behind a van at a red light, rolled forward at 0.45 mph. The front of the May Mobility AV made contact with the rear of the van. No damage was evident to the AV or the van.
