ADS crash report in San Francisco, CA involving a ZOOX Zoox (NHTSA SGO 30610-14388)

An unoccupied Zoox autonomous vehicle (Vehicle 1), traveling southwest on [XXX] in San Francisco, was stopped mid-way through a lane-change maneuver (from lane #2 to lane #1) in stop-and-go traffic, when a passenger car (Vehicle 2) in lane #1 accelerated toward the stopped Zoox vehicle and struck its left front wheel. The Zoox vehicle was towed from the scene for inspection and was found to have sustained no damage.

Vehicle 2's front bumper appears to have sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. Police were notified but did not arrive at the scene. The Zoox vehicle's video footage shows that Vehicle 2's driver was not looking at the road ahead before or at the time of contact.
