An unoccupied Zoox autonomous vehicle was traveling south on [XXX] on a green light at [XXX] in San Francisco when a pickup truck (Vehicle 2) executed an abrupt left turn from northbound [XXX] and accelerated into the Zoox vehicle's right-of-way. The Zoox vehicle braked hard, but contact was unavoidable.

Vehicle 2's front bumper struck the Zoox vehicle's left side door and body panels. After reversing, Vehicle 2 cleared the intersection, pulled over temporarily, and then left without exchanging information. Shortly afterward, the Zoox vehicle cleared the intersection, pulled over, and was towed for inspection.

It was found to have sustained moderate damage. No injuries were reported, and police were not called.
