Waymo robotaxi rear-ended by SUV in south Las Vegas, at least one injured
On July 19, 2026 at approximately 9:45 a.m., a human-driven SUV struck a Waymo robotaxi from behind near Sunset Road and Polaris Avenue in south Las Vegas, then continued forward and also hit a light pole. At least one person was injured. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the crash and said the investigation is ongoing. Waymo told FOX5 the SUV struck the Waymo vehicle from behind before continuing forward and hitting the light pole.
