AeiROBOT x Hanwha Ocean shipyard humanoid pilot
Hanwha Ocean is launching a pilot to test AeiROBOT's Alice humanoid robot at its shipyards under the Korean government's AX Sprint initiative, with N.DotLight providing digital twin simulation on NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim. The pilot evaluates autonomous navigation, walking on rough terrain, obstacle avoidance, carrying goods, and tool manipulation, targeting a full-scale field demonstration within one year.

AeiROBOT is a Korean humanoid robotics company spun out from the HERoEHS robotics laboratory at Hanyang University ERICA in Ansan, developing the [ALICE](/models/aeirobot-alice-m1) humanoid robot platform for industrial manufacturing, shipbuilding, and construction. The company's ALICE M1 wheeled humanoid features 7-DOF arms, adjustable height (1.3 to 1.7 m), and NVIDIA GR00T AI for task-level autonomy in high-mix production environments. AeiROBOT is a founding member of the K-Humanoid Alliance, received South Korea's first Regulatory Sandbox approval for humanoid factory deployments, and was featured in NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's CES 2026 keynote. The company plans to supply approximately 20 robots in 2026 before beginning full-scale commercial shipments in 2027
