Partnership
GXO x Apptronik
On June 20 2024 GXO Logistics announced an early-stage proof-of-concept with Apptronik to develop practical warehouse applications for the Apollo humanoid. GXO Chief Automation Officer Adrian Stoch and Apptronik CEO Jeff Cardenas are quoted. Apptronik specs listed in the release: Apollo stands 5'8", can carry 55 pounds, uses swappable batteries, linear actuators, force control, and a flexible safety zone for work near people.
The companies said they would evaluate lab performance to fine-tune Apptronik's AI model before deploying to a U.S. distribution center. This records the 2024 R&D announcement, not a verified production fleet count (GXO).
