J.B. Hunt Transport Services x Waymo

On June 10 2021 J.B. Hunt and Waymo announced a collaboration to move freight in Texas for one J.B. Hunt customer.

The test was to use Waymo Via, Waymo's autonomous Class 8 unit, between Houston and Fort Worth on Interstate 45, at SAE Level 4 with a commercially licensed driver and a software technician on board. The release describes a supervised trial, not driverless commercial service (J.B. Hunt).
