UPS (NYSE: UPS) is a global logistics company with $88.7B in annual revenue and ~460,000 employees, operating autonomous delivery drones through its [UPS Flight Forward](/companies/matternet) subsidiary and deploying 1,400+ warehouse robots from partners including [Locus Robotics](/companies/locus-robotics) and [Geek+](/companies/geekplus) across its network. The company is investing $9B in automation across 60+ US facilities as part of a four-year plan announced in 2024, including a $120M order for 400 truck-unloading robots from Pickle Robot Co. UPS Flight Forward was the first company to receive FAA Part 135 Standard certification for drone delivery operations in October 2019.

It operates the Waymo One robotaxi service in Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, and Miami, and runs Waymo Via for autonomous trucking. Spun out of Google's self-driving car project as a standalone Alphabet subsidiary in December 2016.
