Liebherr Mining and Fortescue Metals signed a partnership worth up to .8 billion to deploy autonomous T 264 trucks with battery-electric capabilities at Fortescue's Australian mining operations. Four T 264 trucks are in onsite validation.

The company's Autonomous Haulage Solution (AHS), part of the IoMine integrated operations portfolio, enables fully autonomous operation of Liebherr haul trucks with intelligent route optimization. Liebherr has partnered with [Fortescue metals](/companies/fortescue-metals) to develop autonomous battery-electric T 264 trucks with a 3.2 MWh battery, and deployed its first AHS fleet of four T 264 trucks for onsite validation at a mine in Western Australia in Q3 2023.
