MIT CSAIL x Pegatron Robotics Research Partnership
MIT CSAIL and Pegatron Corporation launched a landmark five-year research partnership from 2026 to 2031 to develop the next generation of emotionally and physically intelligent robotic systems. The collaboration combines CSAIL robotics research with Pegatron manufacturing expertise to create robots for dexterous adaptive and safe operation in real-world industrial scenarios.

Who’s involved
The [MIT CSAIL Robot Locomotion Group](/companies/mit-csail-locomotion), led by Professor Russ Tedrake, researches dynamics and control for humanoid robots, robotic manipulation, and dynamic walking over rough terrain. The group works on Atlas humanoid control, MPC, and learning-based approaches for legged locomotion.
