Oceaneering x US Navy AUV
Oceaneering was awarded a Defense Innovation Unit contract to build a Freedom autonomous underwater vehicle and establish an onshore remote operations center for the U.S. Navy. Oceaneering later described a Navy and DIU demonstration of docking, undocking, obstacle avoidance, survey, and precision payload placement (Oceaneering Freedom contract).
