Partnership
Plus x Scania
On March 12 2024 Plus announced a long-term partnership with Scania, MAN, and Navistar of the TRATON GROUP for global commercial Level 4 autonomous trucks, pairing TRATON autonomous-ready base vehicles with Plus SuperDrive software for hub-to-hub operations. The release said L4 trucks were already being tested on public roads in Europe and the US with a safety driver, with Texas corridor testing between San Antonio and Dallas and a Sweden route between Sodertalje and Nykoping, targeting fleet pilots then series production. Who’s involved
Autonomous-trucking software company (formerly Plus.ai / PlusAI; founded 2016 in Cupertino by Stanford PhDs incl. CEO David Liu). Builds SuperDrive, an SAE Level 4 'virtual driver' designed to be factory-installed by truck OEMs. A planned go-public SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp IX (June 2025) was terminated in April 2026, leaving Plus private. Currently in OEM-integration and supervised fleet-trial stage; no driver-out commercial freight yet (driverless validation targeted 2026, commercial launch 2027).
