Pony.ai, Toyota China, and GAC Toyota formed a robotaxi joint venture (Zhuifeng Intelligent Tech, Guangzhou; announced April 26, 2024; >1 billion yuan combined investment) to mass-produce Level 4 robotaxis on the Toyota bZ4X EV; Toyota had earlier invested ~$400M in Pony.ai (2020).
