Synapticon x Generative Bionics

Generative Bionics is an Italian deep tech company developing humanoid robots based on Physical AI — a physics-native approach that engineers the robot's body, mechanics, and motion intelligence as one system. Spun out from the [Italian institute of technology](/companies/iit-genova) (IIT) in 2024, the company unveiled its first platform, Gene.01, in July 2026: a fully functional humanoid with full-body multimodal smart skin that senses touch, proximity, force, and temperature for safe human collaboration in industrial environments. The company is backed by an $81M seed round and partners with Fincantieri for shipyard welding applications and AMD for compute infrastructure.
