Who’s involved

Yotta Infrastructuretechnology provider

Yotta Infrastructure (operating brand of Yotta Data Services) is the Hiranandani Group's Mumbai-based data-center and sovereign-cloud operator, positioning itself as the flag-carrier for India's domestic AI-compute buildout. Its Shakti Cloud arm is one of only six global NVIDIA Cloud Partners and was named the first Exemplar Cloud in APAC, running more than 8,000 H100 GPUs across the group's own Tier IV Navi Mumbai (NM1) and Tier III+ Greater Noida (D1) campuses rather than renting colocation. The company is chaired by Darshan Hiranandani and run by co-founder Sunil Gupta as MD and CEO.\n\nYotta's distinctive bet is that India will not let its largest AI training runs sit on U.S. hyperscaler infrastructure. It was one of the first three companies empaneled under the Indian government's IndiaAI Mission in early 2025, winning a subsidized allocation to supply GPUs to Indian model labs, universities and startups. Named tenants include IIT Madras, Sarvam AI, Fractal and RenderNet AI, plus a growing enterprise pipeline routed through partnerships with IBM (agentic AI, May 2026) and Matrix (video surveillance, July 2026).\n\nDistinguishing it from the U.S. neocloud pack: Yotta owns and operates its own physical campuses (NM1 alone is 52 MW IT load with a 1 GW ultimate footprint), publishes rupee-denominated hourly pricing that undercuts Western hyperscaler rack rates (H100 bare-metal at roughly $4.20 per GPU-hour, B200 at roughly $5.65), and has staked its 2026 growth on a Blackwell Ultra order: it announced plans in February 2026 to deploy one of Asia's largest B300 superclusters with more than 20,000 Blackwell Ultra GPUs.
