Brian E. O'Toole

Chief Executive Officer and Director of BlackSky (NYSE: BKSY), a geospatial intelligence company providing real-time satellite imagery and AI analytics. Joined BlackSky as CTO in 2016 following its acquisition of OpenWhere, the geospatial intelligence company he founded in 2013. Promoted to CEO in 2018 and led BlackSky through its September 2021 SPAC merger IPO on the NYSE.

Previously CTO at GeoEye (NASDAQ: GEOY), one of the first commercial satellite imaging companies, until its merger with DigitalGlobe in 2013. Earlier roles at GE Aerospace, Textron Systems, and Overwatch; founded ITspatial, a pioneer in intelligent 3D mapping. Holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a BS in Computer Science from Clarkson University. Named 'Executive of the Year' at the 2025 Greater Washington GovCon Awards.
