CEO of Alibaba Group since September 2023 and one of its 19 co-founders (1999). Alibaba's first programmer; served as CTO of Alipay, CTO of Taobao, and head of Alibaba's search/advertising/mobile business. Founded Vision Plus Capital, a venture capital firm, in 2015.

Graduated from Zhejiang University of Technology (1996). Has driven Alibaba's pivot toward AI, spending CN¥81 billion on capex in his first 15 months and backing Moonshot AI, MiniMax, and Zhipu AI.
