Henry Samueli

American businessman, electrical engineer, and philanthropist; co-founder of Broadcom Corporation. Born September 20, 1954 in Buffalo, New York. Co-founded Broadcom in 1991 with his UCLA Ph.D. student Henry Nicholas, each investing $5,000.

Named inventor on 75 US patents in broadband communications and system-on-a-chip design. Elected to the National Academy of Engineering (2003), awarded the Marconi Prize (2012), and the IEEE Medal of Honor (2025). Served as Broadcom's CTO and remains on the board.

Owner of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks. Net worth approximately $25.3 billion as of December 2024.
