Drones and delivery
Where can drones deliver packages?
Yes, in a growing list of countries and US metros. On DEPLOY's record, drone package delivery is operating today from Zipline, Wing, Amazon Prime Air, Matternet, Flytrex, and Wingcopter, carrying retail orders and medical supplies across parts of the US, Rwanda, Ghana, the UK, Switzerland, Ireland, Malawi, and Australia. The table below lists every verified deployment, each dated and sourced.

Drone package delivery is real and operating in a growing set of places, though it is far from everywhere. On DEPLOY's record, the active operators are Zipline, Wing (Alphabet), Amazon Prime Air, Matternet, Flytrex, and Wingcopter. Coverage splits into two kinds. In Africa, Zipline runs national medical-delivery networks in Rwanda and Ghana, and Wingcopter flies medical supplies in Malawi.
In wealthy markets, delivery is metro-by-metro: Amazon Prime Air around Phoenix and College Station, Texas; Wing and Zipline delivering Walmart and DoorDash orders in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and other US metros; Flytrex in the Dallas suburbs; and Matternet moving hospital samples for the NHS in London, for UPS in the US, and for Swiss Post in Switzerland. Each entry below is a dated, sourced record, and where a service has ended (as Wing's early Australia operation has) the page says so rather than leaving it live.
Where drone delivery is live
One row per verified deployment, each dated and sourced. Coverage splits between national medical networks in a few African countries and metro-by-metro retail and healthcare services in wealthier markets. The sidewalk (ground) delivery answer lives on where delivery robots operate.

| Amazon In November 2024 Amazon launched Prime Air drone delivery service in Tolleson, Arizona using its new MK30 drone, covering the West Valley Phoenix Metro Area. The Tolleson Same-Day Delivery site was the first facility to integrate same-day fulfillment with Prime Air drone operations in a single location. Customers within the delivery radius can receive items weighing 5 lb or less in under an hour. The MK30 is Amazon's third-generation delivery drone: it is fully electric, quieter than its predecessors, flies twice as far, and received FAA approval for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. Amazon also operates Prime Air drone delivery in College Station, Texas. The program is self-operated by Amazon under an FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate. | Prime Air MK30 | PhoenixArizona | Delivering | Nov 5, 2024 | |

How we know this
Every row on this page comes from a dated, sourced Deployment record in the DEPLOY registry: an aerial delivery drone (an airspace, logistics vehicle), its operator, and the place it flies. Here are the sources behind them.
Coverage claims are attributed to the operators and their reporting; a deployment is on the record only when a reviewed, sourced entry supports it. Warehouse inventory drones, which fly indoors and deliver nothing to a recipient, are excluded.
