Waymo announced on 2026-09-17 that it is expanding to Singapore in partnership with the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA). Waymo says its initial fleet of all-electric Jaguar I-PACE vehicles will arrive in Singapore in the coming months; that a readiness phase in 2027 will have trained autonomous specialists conduct initial manual driving to adapt the Waymo Driver to local conditions; and that it intends to open its fully autonomous ride-hailing service to the public in 2028.
