Agility Digit collapsed mid-pick during a live ProMat 2023 warehouse demo
At ProMat 2023 (Chicago, Mar 20-23 2023), after more than 20 hours of live demonstrations, an Agility Digit stopped mid-pick and fell. Agility attributed it to a previously-unseen arm encoder bug and subsequently patched the behavior so the arm freezes and the robot stays upright rather than falling. No injury or third-party damage. Bar note: a documented demo malfunction (not an operational deployment injury), included for its named root cause and shipped vendor remediation. Cap-flag: exact day within ProMat undetermined.
