FAA eVTOL Integration Pilot Program: BETA Technologies ALIA conducts organ transport test flight
On July 14, 2026, the FAA announced that BETA Technologies and United Therapeutics, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, conducted a multi-leg organ medical-transport test flight using BETA's ALIA electric aircraft from Virginia to Maryland. The test occurred under the Trump Administration's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), which selected eight projects across 26 states in March 2026.
