ADS crash report in San Francisco, CA involving a JAGUAR I-PACE (NHTSA SGO 30270-11790)
On September [XXX], 2025 at 5:00 PM PT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in San Francisco, California was in a collision involving a passenger car on [XXX] near [XXX]. The Waymo AV was traveling southbound on [XXX]. An SUV was stopped facing northbound near the east curb of [XXX] when it began to turn left to enter a parking garage located on the west side of [XXX], but stopped prior to crossing into the southbound lane of [XXX]. The Waymo AV slowed to a stop to yield to the SUV, and a passenger car traveling southbound on [XXX] approached the stationary Waymo AV from behind. The front right side of the passenger car then made contact with the rear left side of the stationary Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. Both the Waymo AV and the passenger car sustained damage. The passengers in the Waymo AV were not belted at the time of the collision.
