On July [XXX], 2026 at 12:57 AM CDT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Austin, Texas was in a collision involving a passenger car in a parking lot at [XXX].

The Waymo AV was stopped facing northwest in a parking lot at [XXX], with its hazard lights activated for a passenger pickup, adjacent to a row of parked cars parallel to the west curb. While the Waymo AV was stopped, a passenger car traveling southwestbound in the parking lot, in front of and to the right of the Waymo AV, turned left and began to pass the Waymo AV to the left, traveling southeastbound to the immediate left of the Waymo AV. The passenger car then slowed to a stop in close proximity to the Waymo AV, then proceeded forward and the left side of the passenger car made contact with the rear left side of the stationary Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. Both vehicles sustained damage.
