ADS crash report in Atlanta, GA involving a JAGUAR I-PACE (NHTSA SGO 30270-16085)

On July [XXX], 2026 at 4:11 PM EDT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Atlanta, Georgia was in a collision involving an SUV on [XXX] near [XXX].

The Waymo AV was traveling eastbound on [XXX] and approaching a work zone along westbound [XXX] where the westbound half of the roadway was sectioned off by construction panel barricades. The Waymo AV slowed and maneuvered to the right and began to approach an SUV traveling eastbound on [XXX] along the south curb at a low rate of speed. The Waymo AV proceeded forward to pass the SUV to the left, and at the same time, the SUV maneuvered to the left and entered the Waymo AV's path of travel, and the front left side of the SUV made contact with the front right side of the Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. The SUV sustained damage.
