On July 24, 2006, an employee at Alliance Tech Systems, a producer of medium-caliber ammunition, was killed when he was crushed between a robotic arm and the frame of one of the robot's workstations, with his head pinned. He appeared to be reaching to remove scrap dropped by the robot or to activate a reset button.
