Partnership

Daimler Truck Holding AG x Waymo

On Oct 27 2020 Daimler Trucks and Waymo announced a broad strategic partnership to deploy SAE Level 4 autonomous trucks. Their initial effort, per Daimler Truck's release, combines the Waymo Driver with a version of the Freightliner Cascadia, with the autonomous Cascadia described as planned for U.S. customers in the coming years and other markets to be investigated. This records the 2020 announcement, not a current operating census (Daimler Truck, Waymo).
