Who’s involved
Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) builds superconducting quantum computers and pioneered quantum-compute-as-a-service (QCaaS). Founded in 2017 by Dr Peter Leek, OQC deploys quantum systems in colocation data centres across London, Tokyo, New York, and Spain, partnering with [Equinix](/companies/equinix), [Digital Realty](/companies/digital-realty), and [NVIDIA](/companies/nvidia). The company raised 260 million GBP (350 million USD) in Series C funding (June 2026), Europe's largest private quantum computing round, led by Bullhound Capital with participation from [JPMorgan Chase](/companies/jpmorgan-chase), [AMD](/companies/amd), and the British Business Bank. OQC's 32-qubit Toshiko platform and next-generation GENESIS system integrate quantum processing with classical HPC for enterprise and government customers in finance, defence, and security.
