NHTSA SGO: ADS and Level 2 ADAS Crash Reporting Requirements (2026 Comment Period)
NHTSA reopened the comment period for its Incident Reporting requirements for ADS and Level 2 ADAS crashes (Docket NHTSA-2026-0529). The General Order requires reporting within 5 days for crashes involving hospital-treated injury, fatality, air bag deployment, or vulnerable road user strikes. Updated monthly reporting required by 15th of following month.
