Smart home

Consumer home robots with autonomy as the primary feature: vacuums, mowers, and home companions.

Smart-home autonomy on DEPLOY scopes to AI / autonomy as a primary feature, not as a connected-appliance label. The first wave includes robot vacuums (iRobot Roomba Combo j9, Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni) with SLAM, dToF LiDAR, or AIVI navigation; robot mowers (Husqvarna Automower 430X NERA, Segway-Ninebot Navimow i206) with RTK-GNSS or wire-guided localization; and the Amazon Astro home companion (pilot, invite-only). Voice-only speakers and dumb appliances are out per the autonomy-primary test. Deployments are not modeled at the consumer-product layer (availability lives in specs as honest-absence). Verified-vs-claimed reads the corporate-state precision: iRobot owner is Picea since 2026-01-23 (Amazon deal terminated 2024-01); Astro-for-Business discontinued 2024-07.
