Leju Robotics introduced five Kuavo humanoid robots to the production lines of Chinese automaker FAW Hongqi (the premium Red Flag brand of FAW Group) in Changchun in 2025. The robots are assigned to logistics tasks, primarily transporting boxes across the factory floor for extended periods. The bipedal design allows the robots to navigate confined spaces and ascend stairs, which gives them an advantage over traditional wheeled logistics platforms in mixed factory environments.

As of May 2025, the Kuavo units at FAW Hongqi were in a testing and development phase, with full operational deployment planned for year-end 2025. Wang Shuai, deputy general manager of Leju Robotics Hefei branch, described the robots as designed for logistics scenarios including transporting containers and sorting documents.

Leju Robotics also separately confirmed in May 2025 that it had delivered units to Haichen Logistics for factory deployment, representing a parallel commercial rollout track alongside the FAW Hongqi pilot. The company reached the milestone of delivering its 100th full-size humanoid (referred to as Kuafu in some Chinese sources) around January 2025.

FAW Hongqi (Hongqi meaning Red Flag) is one of China's oldest and most prestigious domestic automotive brands, produced by the First Automobile Works Group (FAW Group) headquarters in Changchun.
