Volkswagen Group of America launched its first U.S. autonomous driving test program in Austin, TX in July 2023 with a fleet of 10 all-electric ID. Buzz AD vehicles. The vehicles are tested by VW ADMT (VW's autonomous mobility subsidiary) with trained human safety operators.
