Zoox issues voluntary software recall for 270 robotaxis and pauses driverless testing after minor Las Vegas crash
An unoccupied Zoox robotaxi operating in autonomous mode in Las Vegas was involved in a minor crash with a passenger vehicle on April 8, 2026. The robotaxi braked hard but could not avoid the collision when the other vehicle unexpectedly yielded in the shoulder lane. Zoox voluntarily recalled 270 vehicles and temporarily halted driverless operations for internal review.
