Miami has the fewest, 230, because of 135 precipitation days and a tropical storm season. The estimate is deliberately conservative: it counts a day out whenever there is measurable precipitation or snow, so the real operable figure is likely higher, because many robots run through light precipitation. Why the number is conservative on purpose
Counting a day out for any measurable precipitation is a floor, not a forecast. Serve and Avride both publish bad-weather and all-weather operation claims, and light precipitation does not stop most sidewalk robots. The point of the conservative method is that even the harshest corridor of the nine still clears roughly two thirds of the year, so weather sets the economics of a corridor rather than deciding whether it is operable at all.
