Africa Data Centres (ADC) is the pan-African colocation platform of Cassava Technologies, operating carrier- and cloud-neutral facilities in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. Its five named sites are JHB1 Midrand and JHB2 Samrand outside Johannesburg, CPT1 in Cape Town, NBO1 in Nairobi and LOS1 in Lagos, and it hosts three of the continent's principal internet exchanges (JINX, CINX and KIXP) as well as more than 50 network carriers.

The company sits inside Cassava Technologies, the Strive Masiyiwa-founded group that was carved out of Liquid Telecom in the early 2020s. ADC has become Cassava's core AI-infrastructure vehicle: in March 2025 Cassava announced with Nvidia what it billed as Africa's first AI factory, standing up GPU capacity across ADC's South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and Nigeria footprint, with the first site in Johannesburg. The 2026 news cadence has been about layering hyperscale and financial connectivity on top of that base, including Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute Metro at JHB1/JHB2 (July 2026) and a STANLIB Infrastructure Investments partnership (October 2025) to fund further expansion.

ADC is not publicly listed; it is one of the operating businesses inside Cassava Technologies, which raised a $310 million growth round in 2023 backed by Google, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, the British International Investment and Finnfund among others. That capital, together with sibling Liquid Intelligent Technologies' $300 million oversubscribed bond in April 2026, is the balance sheet behind ADC's ongoing build-out.
