The company designs, builds, and runs a fleet of Tier III certified facilities that anchor most of the sovereign, government, and hyperscale cloud footprint in the Gulf. Its scale, roughly 673 MW across 30 live sites with six more under construction, makes it the dominant regional peer to Equinix and Digital Realty in the MENA belt.

Ownership is a three-way construct that shapes the company's strategy: state-linked AI holding G42 is the operating anchor, Abu Dhabi sovereign investor MGX sits alongside as a shareholder, and US private-equity firm Silver Lake took a significant minority stake in 2024, bringing Western institutional capital and hyperscale sales relationships into what had been a purely UAE-owned platform. The combination has positioned Khazna as the physical layer for the Gulf's AI-training buildout, including the AI-capable 100 MW expansion in Ajman and a Saudi Arabia push aligned with Vision 2030.

Under CEO Hassan Alnaqbi the company has moved from a domestic colocation operator, spun out of the e& (formerly Etisalat) orbit, into a regional AI infrastructure platform, with a leadership bench recruited from global telco, hyperscale, and PE circles.
