Overview
OptoForce was a Budapest-based robotics sensor company that developed optical, silicone-based multi-axis force/torque sensors for industrial robots. Founded in 2012 by Ákos Tar and József Veres, the company pioneered compliant force sensing technology that gave robots a sense of touch. OptoForce merged into OnRobot in 2018, and its HEX sensor technology continues under the OnRobot brand.
